Erin Troost grew up in Wilton, Connecticut and started taking ballet classes when she was 3 years old. She began her training at her local dance studio, Conservatory of Dance LLC, where she participated in classes such as ballet, tap, contemporary, and jazz. In 2014, after attending the Nutmeg Conservatory for the Arts Summer Intensive in Torrington, Connecticut, Erin was offered a scholarship as well as an opportunity to train at the ballet school year-round. She completed her high school education online and continued her professional ballet training. Upon graduating in 2016, Erin attended college at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. Before entering her junior year of college, she auditioned for Cleveland Ballet where she was accepted as a trainee and trained with the school for two years. Erin completed her Bachelors of Fine Arts in Ballet online while dancing with the school. Upon graduating in December of 2019, she joined Cleveland Ballet as a company artist in 2020.
