LANA KRASNYANSKY SOKOLINSKY

Lana Krasnyansky Sokolinsky started her career at the Odessa Ballet School under the direction of Ludmila Livanskaya before immigrating to the United States with her family in 1989. Between Ohio and New York, Lana performed and studied under Carol Landis, Mary Leitson, Sharon Burge, Lainie Munro, Sheila Barker, Natalya Stavro, Germaine Salsberg, Michelle Dorrance, and Barbara Duffy. While earning her BA in Dance from The University of Akron, Lana performed with the University's dance company and studied under Kathleen Davis, Mark Ozanich, Mary Ann Black, Tom Smith, and Cydney Spohn. In 2003, Lana moved to New York where she was invited to join the Board of Directors for the St. Bart's Players Theater Group. During her tenure on the Board, Lana served as the Co-Chair of Communications and presently as the Executive Producer of Main Stage shows. Outside of her board duties, Ms. Krasnyansky has been performing, producing, directing and choreographing fundraisers, plays and musicals. She has been seen in High Spirits, Fiorello! Guys and Dolls, A Little Night Music, and Follies. She choreographed Straight Up With A Twist, produced Rumors, Moon Over Buffalo, 1776, Under the Influence and most recently Nunsense. Ms. Krasnyansky has taught ballet, tap and jazz throughout Cleveland, Ohio and abroad for over 15 years. Currently, she is happy to be on the Board of the St. Bart's Players and honored to be a part of the remarkable Cleveland Ballet.
