IS THIS ACADEMY AFFILIATED WITH AND SUPPORTED BY CLEVELAND BALLET DANCERS?
YES! Cleveland Ballet recognizes the invaluable education that comes from having current and former professional dancers as faculty. The Academy of Cleveland Ballet is an organization that supports both the inclusion of professional dancers in the classroom and welcomes their collaboration concerning the Academy’s organization and structure.
WHAT IS THE LEVEL OF TRAINING THE STUDENTS WILL RECEIVE?
The Academy of Cleveland Ballet has the highest standard of training, which is strengthened by the insight of dancers currently dancing at a professional level. All faculty members are carefully vetted and have demonstrated dedication, experience, and commitment to our students’ education and growth.
WHAT EXPERIENCES CAN THE STUDENTS HAVE IN THE ACADEMY OF CLEVELAND BALLET?
Since the Academy of Cleveland Ballet is directly affiliated with an exemplary professional ballet company, students not only receive a strong dance education, they also have the unique opportunity to potentially perform on stage with company dancers at Playhouse Square. These incredible performance opportunities begin with Sleeping Beauty in spring 2024. Additionally, all students will have their own performance opportunities that are exclusive to the Academy. This link between learning and performance promotes the highest level of artistic growth and development.
WHEN DO CLASSES BEGIN?
Academy of Cleveland Ballet classes begin the last week of January 2024.
WILL ACADEMY OF CLEVELAND BALLET HOST A SUMMER INTENSIVE IN 2024?
We are excited to announce three levels of summer camps and classes in 2024 and for a comprehensive summer intensive program in 2025. This program will cater to all levels, from beginners to advanced/pre-professional dancers. Our commitment is to deliver a rewarding and educational experience for all aspiring dancers.
